All Classes will begin virtually in January and will move to a live setting with virtual options when it is both safe and appropriate. Live classes will be limited in size and placement in those classes will prioritize those students who began with the virtual classes.

BALLET TECHNIQUE OPEN Teacher: Kate Orlando Ages: 8 and up Wednesdays 6:00-7:00 Ballet is the foundation of many dance forms and will maximize technique and longevity in a career of dance. It provides grace, poise, and technique needed to be proficient in all other areas of dance. Ballet classes will help dancers with posture, flexibility, fitness, balance, self-discipline, and self-confidence.

SELF TAPE AUDITION TECHNIQUES Teacher: Deckonti Tiah Ages: 11 – High School Mondays 5:15 – 6:15
Whether it is for live stage, commercials, film or a performing arts college, Self Tape auditions are used in EVERY field. Students in this class will learn how to prepare and produce the best product. Students will also be given the exciting opportunity to work on scenes and audition sides from the latest television shows, movies, and commercials as well as original content. Get in step with the times and be prepared for a new style of auditioning.

JAZZ /CONTEMPORARY OPEN Teacher: Kate Orlando Ages: 8 and up Wednesdays. 7:15 – 8:15
Jazz dance is an exploration of style, music and presentation. Contemporary adds a further musical and emotional expression with a strong focus on modern techniques. Musicality, body alignment, conditioning, stretch and strengthening, rhythm and stylization as well as fun and innovative choreography are included in this combination class.

MUSICAL THEATRE PERFORMANCE WORKSHOPS Ages: 12 – 18
VOCAL FOCUS – Thursdays 6:00 – 7:00 Teacher: Megan Ruggles
DANCE FOCUS – Thursdays 7:15 – 8:15 Teacher: Lindsay Deal
From preparing an audition to adding repertoire, or just learning new tools, this class focuses students on sharpening and developing musical performance skills. It is designed to allow the student to learn from weekly one-on-one work as well as from watching other students. Each month, students will be assigned a new song to work on for class which will be coached in a masterclass setting (aka zoom). On select months, we will have them themed toward a specific musical theatre genre.

TAP TECHNIQUE OPEN LEVEL Teacher: Roberta Curless Ages: 8 and up Mondays 7:00 – 8:00 Tap classes are designed to develop rhythm, style and sound. Exercises focus on building flexibility of the knee and ankles, coordination, and speed of movement. The class will focus on the style of Rhythm Tap.

HIGH SCHOOL ACTING Teacher: Ian Kimble Ages: High School Tuesdays 6:15 – 7:15 Actors will meet weekly to expand upon the skills they’ve learned and study new forms of performance methods. Scene study will be an early focus, leading to character work and world-building techniques. We will have a focus on new media forms of performance as well as the individual performance with the desired result being a stronger ability to make interesting choices quickly. All of these skills will benefit the actors in auditions as well as on stage or on the set.
