All Classes will begin virtually in January and will move to a live setting with virtual options when it is both safe and appropriate. Live classes will be limited in size and placement in those classes will prioritize those students who began with the virtual classes.

CREATIVE DANCE Teacher: Kate Orlando Ages: 3-4 Day & time to be announced Creative Dance is an introduction to the foundations of dance in a fun and creative atmosphere. Children learn the basics of Ballet and movement through songs, games and structured activities using props to let their imagination soar!

BROADWAY AT HOME: EXPANDING YOUR PERFORMANCE SKILLS THROUGH SONG and DANCE Teacher: Megan Ruggles Ages: 6-9 Mondays 5:30 – 6:15pm This musical theatre class gives an overview of important musical theatre skills in singing, acting & dance through fun games and group work.

INTRO TO HIP HOP Teacher: Maria Guldin Ages: 5 – 10 Thursdays 6:00-7:00pm Hip Hop incorporates a variety of old and new urban dance styles. The dancing represents body movements that go with the beat and rhythm of hip hop music. Hip hop dancing is very dynamic and helps the dancers improve flexibility, develop body balance, and coordination.

ACTING OUT Teacher: Sarah Gafgen Ages: 6 – 9 Tuesdays 6:15 – 7:00pm Building on the skills introduced in Session 1 students will be allowed to develop their very own crazy and wonderful character and use it in the development of a class storyline and script.

BALLET TECHNIQUE Teacher: Kate Orlando Beginner: Wednesdays 6:00-7:00pm Intermediate: Thursdays 6:30 – 7:30pm Ballet is the foundation of many dance forms and will maximize technique and longevity in a career of dance. It provides grace, poise, and technique needed to be proficient in all other areas of dance. Ballet classes will help dancers with posture, flexibility, fitness, balance, self-discipline, and self-confidence.

CONTEMPORARY OPEN Teacher: Kate Orlando Ages: 8 and up Wednesdays 7:15 – 8:15 Contemporary modern combines ballet and modern techniques with musical and emotional expression with a strong focus on modern techniques (contractions and release, off-center balances and suspension) as well as musicality and self-expression.

TAP TECHNIQUE OPEN LEVEL Teacher: Lindsey Krier Ages: 8 and up Mondays 6:00-7:00 pm Tap classes are designed to develop rhythm, style and sound. Exercises focus on building flexibility of the knee and ankles, coordination, and speed of movement. The class will focus on the style of Rhythm Tap.

FLEXIBILITY WORKSHOP: OPEN LEVEL Teacher: Steven Clair Ages 8 and up Thursdays 6:15 – 7:00pm This workshop will focus on the dancers flexibility through exercises and stretches to safely enhance their personal flexibility. A strong and flexible body can create correct and safe lines in all forms of dance and enhance their technique.

JAZZ TECHNIQUE – OPEN LEVEL Teacher: Steven Clair Ages: 8 and up Jazz dance is an exploration of style and presentation. Classes emphasize musicality and body alignment, conditioning, stretch and strengthening, rhythm and stylization as well as fun and innovative choreography.
