Monday 4:30 – 5:30 Kaleidoscope Kids (1st – 3rd Grade)

Amazing Fun, as children in this class use their creative juices in a series of theatre games, acting exercises, storytelling, crafts, puppetry and exploration of the theatre world, all the while developing confidence and self esteem that will carry them through life.

Monday 5:30 -6:30 Reach for the Stars (4th – 6th Grade)

This class will begin to examine the more technical aspect of acting as the children learn about physical and vocal warm-ups, stage directions, stage presence, pantomime, vocal inflection, projection and character development.

Monday 6:30 – 8:00 Reality Bites (7th – 12th Grade)

Our 90 minute classes focus on more specific acting techniques, including voice and articulation, projection, vocal inflection, inner monolouges, character development, and auditioning; through the use of acting exercises, theatre games and performance.  These classes will permit students to explore the more formal theatrical training and audition preparation.

Tuesday 10:00 – 10:45 am Creative Dramatics (Ages 4 – Kindergarten)
Through the use of creative games, puppetry, masks, arts & crafts, and more, four and five year olds take their favorite fairy tales and nursery rhymes and turn them into their very own plays. This is a great way to develop confidence and self-esteem.

Creative Actors will explore the world of theatre through storytelling, songs and movement.  This class will cultivate the imagination as well as enhance social motor skills.  Through engaging books, themes, puppets and instruments, Creative Actors will enjoy a multi-sensory play experience that culminates into a performance for family and friends.

Tuesday 6:00 – 7:00 The Exploring Actor (1st – 3rd)

Exploring Actors will have a blast interacting with improvisation, movement, signing, storytelling and theatre games to invent new characters.  This class focuses on developing poise, self-confidence and teamwork in an exciting environment.  Exploring Actors will work together to perform at a showcase.

Tuesday 7:00 – 8:00 The Developing Actor (4th – 6th Grade)

Developing actor will dive into the world of theatre with topics such as creating characters, improvisation, memorization, movement and voice.  Students will learn the fundamentals of acting with a focus on active listening, teamwork and precision in performance.  Developing Actors will create, design and perform all aspects of an original play to be presented at a showcase.

Wednesday 5:00 – 6:00 Acting for the Big and Little Screen (Ages 7 – 12)
Wednesday 6:00 – 7:30 Acting for the Big and Little Screen (Ages 13 – 17)

This 90-minute class is designed for actors of all skill levels and will focus on acting and auditioning for film and television. This class is geared toward the individual who wants to pursue a career on the big (film) or little (TV) screen. Through the development of audition techniques, you will hone your skills and gain invaluable insight into how to actually book a film or TV gig.  Acting for the screen is much different than acting for the theatre.  If you want to work on screen, you need to know and understand the difference. You will work on all size roles from series regulars to guest stars to one-liners. Do you know the difference? You will receive helpful tips to use when auditioning, personal assessment, and constructive feedback – all geared toward working in film and TV. You will participate in mock callback sessions where you will literally learn what it takes to book a job from a producer’s perspective! This class is an eye-opening experience that all you future movie stars cannot afford to miss. Class also includes individual headshot review and continuous Q&A to learn what you need to know about the film and television industry.

 Wednesday 6:00 – 7:30 Basic Character Development ( Ages 15 – Adult)

This class will develop the students abilities to identify and inhabit a character based on the script. It will involve selected works whereby the student will learn to find clues and information about the character in the written material as well as exercises which willl help the student relate to and develop a full characterization. The class will also involve physical exercises as well as vocal work and minor research.

Wednesday 7:30 – 9:00 Diction for the Actor and the Non- Actor (Ages 15 – Adult)

This class will develop the vocal abilities of actors and or singers for performance. The student will learn to improve the articulation and clarity of lines and lyrics. There will be enunciation exercises and script reads to improve the overall comprehension of vocal work . Along with improved diction the student will also learn to project their vocal instrument. This class can also be applied to the non performer who wants to improve their vocal communication skills.

Emerging Actors will enhance their knowledge of the art of acting through ensemble building activities improvisation, monologue preparation, physical and vocal warm-ups,  scene-study, and theatre games.  Students will learn to maintain honest expression, employ creative problem solving skills and liberate the imagination through this fast-paced course.  Emerging Actors will participate in a performance to showcase what they’ve learned.

Thursday 7:30 – 9:00 The Soaring Actor (9th – 12th Grade)

Soaring Actors will continually reaching new heights while refining skills in acting theories, auditioning, script analysis, scene-study and theatre production.  Students will also enhance skills in awareness, self-reliance  and future planning.  This class will energize school, community and college auditioning as well as performance Soaring Actors will participate in  a performance to showcase what they’ve learned.
