EMPLOYMENT INFORMATION

Mainstage Center for the Arts is accepting job applications for our 37th Summer Stage season! These positions are for our Broadway Kids, Apprentice, and Children’s Theater summer camp programs. There is the opportunity for 3 weeks, 4 weeks, 6 weeks, and 7 weeks employment. All programs held at Camden County College, Blackwood NJ. Applicants must be 11th grade and up to be considered for employment.


Intern
Will be responsible for assisting and working alongside the artistic staff of the show. Their responsibilities (ultimately to be determined by the director) can include assisting in creating material for the show (blocking, choreography, design elements), assisting in and teaching material to the cast, rehearsing material with small groups of cast members, helping to watch and care for students during the day – including sitting with and monitoring students while they are in rehearsal with the music director or during portions of their lunch break and free time, as well as working alongside the staff to create and build properties. are required to be present for auditions, callbacks, the show’s three performances and during the performance, may be asked to assist backstage, or assist in running a technical element of the show as well as being present for striking the show when needed

Children’s Theater & Children’s Theater Jr. (Grades 6-12)

  • SPONGEBOB: THE MUSICAL (YOUTH EDITION) | June 23 – July 17 (No camp July 4)
  • BEATLEJUICE JR. | June 23 – July 19 (No camp July 4)
  • SHREK JR. | July 21 – August 8

Apprentice (ages 8 – 10)

  • WINNIE THE POOH (KIDS) | June 23 – July 12 (No camp July 4)
  • SEUSSICAL (KIDS) | July 14 – August 2

Broadway Kids (5 – 7)

  • BROADWAY KIDS (POP EDITION) | June 23 – July 12 (No camp July 4)
  • FREINDSHIP FAIRE | July 14 – August 2

ABOUT OUR SUMMER PROGRAM

Mainstage Center for the Art’s Summer Stage is the oldest, most successful, and most affordable youth theater program in Southern New Jersey. We offer a series of creative theater programs specifically designed to allow children of every age to expand their skills. For 34 summers, children have enjoyed Summer Stage, where participants use their imaginations to share the MAGIC of live performances through outstanding musical productions, insightful films, and creative set construction.

This summer all programs and shows will be held at Camden County College (200 College Drive, Blackwood, NJ).
