Gift the Magic of Mainstage
At Mainstage, we believe in the magic of the arts, the kind that builds confidence, ignites creativity, and creates unforgettable memories. Whether through Summer Stage, Harmony and Encore show choirs, or our studio classes, we have seen firsthand how young performers grow when given the opportunity to shine.
In an effort to provide every child with access to the magic of Mainstage, we are proud to launch this year’s Ruth Ann Minnick Scholarship Fund, running until April 13th. This fund honors Ruth Ann Minnick, a beloved member of our original costume staff whose passion helped bring countless productions to life. Today, her legacy lives on, helping more than 10% of our participants each year step onto the stage.
Mainstage Center for the Arts is a 501 (c) (3) private non-profit. Every donation, no matter the amount, helps open the door to a summer of creativity, community, and life changing experiences.

Hear from our families first-hand…
This scholarship has given both of my children the ability to continue to attend Summer Stage to do what they absolutely love, musical theater! Mainstage is a special place that provides an amazing inclusive & memorable experience, where all are welcome and embraced, no matter your skill level. My children year after year look forward to coming and performing, with accomplished, wonderful instructors & staff, while making lasting friendships. They have grown so much and have such a love for the arts and this program. Thank you, Mainstage!!
Getting a Mainstage scholarship has been really exciting for me! I love acting, and this scholarship has helped me learn so much. I’ve gotten better at remembering lines, showing emotions, and feeling more confident on stage.
At Mainstage, I get to practice with amazing teachers and other kids who love acting too. It’s really fun to play different characters and learn how to tell stories in a way that makes people feel something. I also learned how to use my voice and body to make my acting even better.
A Mainstage scholarship has provided us so much more than attendance into a program. The scholarship has given an opportunity to my child to ignite a passion that we didn’t know burned as brightly as it does until they took to the stage. Our scholarship has provided opportunities for learning the art of music, choreography, acting and all aspects of performance. Our scholarship has provided opportunities for personal growth in the areas of confidence, kindness, autonomy, identity and self-awareness in addition to friendship. My child truly belongs to the Mainstage family, a place where all are welcome to shine. We are so lucky that a scholarship afforded all of these opportunities and more. The impact scholarships make is a ripple-effect that goes far beyond a monetary transaction. Thank you for supporting the arts for all children.
Receiving a Mainstage scholarship was a life changing experience for my child. It allowed her to discover her passion for theater and introduced her to a community of friends who share that same passion. The opportunities she has gained through this program have been invaluable, and we are incredibly grateful for the support that made it possible.

“Ruth Ann Minnick was a founding staff member for Mainstage. She worked long hours into the night, costuming thousands of children. The love she gave to the thousands of kids during her years with us left an indelible memory for all of us.”
