Keeping your camper healthy and safe is our number one priority. For this reason we ask you to please adhere to the information below with regard to medications and treatment plans for common conditions.
Forms may be brought to the production desk in hard copy or they may be sent via email to nurse@mainstage.org
Medications:
- If your child will be taking medication during school hours, please have your health care provider fill out the permission to dispense medication form. This includes self-carry medications like inhalers.
- All medications must be in their original container with the child’s name.
- All medications must be brought to camp by the parent guardian except for self-carry medications like inhalers.
- Medication orders must be renewed for each camp year.
- All medications taken during school hours are to be administered by the camp nurse or health officer.
- No student is permitted to carry medication on their person, except for self-carry medications like inhalers
Asthma Medications:
- All students using an inhaler or nebulizer while at school will be required to have an Asthma Treatment Plan on file with the school nurse.
- Students in grades 6 and up may self-carry and administer the inhaler if their doctor and parent have signed off on it, on the Asthma Treatment Plan.
Epinephrine:
- If your child has a life-threatening allergy which may require the administration of epinephrine autoinjector to prevent anaphylaxis, and or Benadryl during camp hours, then your physician must complete the medication form and the Parent/Guardian must complete the Food Allergy Action Plan or Bee-Sting Allergy Action Plan.
Seizures:
- If your child has a history of seizures, please have your child’s doctor complete the Seizure Action Plan.
